Great colors, amazing details! It's been a while since I've seen Asian typography expressed so brilliantly. I love how the Japanese characters are turned into trees, which is quite a unique touch. The color scheme is especially well chosen, and the soft, gradiented backgrounds are very pleasing to look at, not to mention the array of delicious details: the clouds, the butterflies, the sun in summer, and the rain in autumn - although the latter two are not prominently seen, it is the subtlety that really adds meaning to the image without showing too much. Fantastic work, expect alot from you :)

This is a very well done piece. This could be used as a very good learning instrument for a person learning Japanese. Even if they don't know what the kanji is, or what the words translate to, they will still be able to know what its saying. It's always awesome to see both an eye catching piece that it also educational. Personally, I didn't know any of the season's names in Japanese except for spring.

Having branches extend from the characters is a very unique and excellent interpretation. It shows the cycle of the seasons very well. The details that you put into each piece is really nice. I love how you can see individual cheery blossoms in the spring, the butterfly's in the summer, the falling leaves in the autumn, and the snowflakes in winter.

The only thing that I really don't notice too well is the autumn's rain. It all seems to be behind the character Aki, while the other three seasons seem to have their elements in front... if you get what I mean. Like, Fuyu's snowflakes can be seen on the character, but you don't see any rain passing in front of Aki.

Overall this is an amazing piece full of spectacular details, I really don't think that there could be a better way to describe the four seasons. :)
